Camp Dates & Themes

June 16–20:

Movie Magic – Horses in Hollywood

Step into the silver screen and bring legendary horse tales to life!

  • Watch clips from famous horse films like Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron and Black Beauty.

  • Dress up as horse-riding heroes for movie-themed photo ops.

  • Create their own “movie posters” starring their favorite horse.

  • End the week with a Camp Oscars event, where campers earn awards for creativity and effort!

June 23–27:

Knights & Noble Steeds

Travel back in time to a world of castles, quests, and brave knights!

  • Ride like medieval warriors with fun jousting games.

  • Design and decorate their own knight shields and crowns.

  • Dress the horses in “knight armor” for epic photo ops.

  • Take part in an honorary Knighting Ceremony on Friday!

July 7–11:

Horses of the World

A journey across continents to discover horses from around the world!

  • Learn about Mustangs, Friesians, and other fascinating breeds.

  • Participate in “Parade of Nations” with horses representing different countries.

  • Ride through fun, themed obstacle courses inspired by global riding traditions.

We know sending your child to camp is a big decision — and we’re here to make it easy. Below you’ll find answers to the most common questions from parents just like you. If you need anything else, don’t hesitate to reach out — we’re happy to help!

Where is camp held?

All of our summer camps take place at Forecast Farms, located at 2497 Atoka Rd, Marshall, VA— just a short drive from Warrenton, Middleburg, and the surrounding Fauquier County area. Our peaceful, family-run farm is the perfect setting for kids to unplug, learn, and bond with horses.

What ages can attend camp?

Camp is open to children ages 7 to 14.

What are the camp hours?

Camp runs Monday through Friday, each week:

🕘 Drop-off: 9:00 AM

🕒 Pick-up: 3:00 PM

Campers may be dropped off no earlier than 8:45 AM and picked up promptly by 3:00 PM.

Does my child need previous riding experience?

No experience? No problem! Many of our campers are brand new to horseback riding. Our horses are gentle, well-trained, and used to working with kids.

What should my child wear and bring to camp?

Is lunch provided?

No, please pack your child a lunch and a few snacks. We have cold water available and built-in break times throughout the day.

Are helmets required?

Yes — safety always comes first at Forecast Farms. All riders must wear a helmet while mounted. If your child doesn’t have one, no worries — we’ve got extras they can use.

What if it rains?

No problem — we’re ready for it! We’ve got covered barn areas and indoor spaces where we continue with fun horse-themed games, grooming sessions, and horsemanship lessons. Camp runs rain or shine.

Can parents come on the last day?

Yes! We invite parents to join us on Friday afternoon for our Camp Showcase — it’s a chance to see how far your camper has come and watch them ride with pride. Bring your camera!

Is there parking available at the farm?

Yes! We have plenty of on-site parking right by the barn.

What is your refund or cancellation policy?

A non-refundable deposit is required to hold your camper’s spot. Final payment is due before the first day of camp. If your plans change, we’ll do our best to work with you and find another available session.
